Line item auto-coding

“Smart OCR identifies the vendor on your invoice, learns patterns from historical bills from that vendor, and applies your instructions to extract and auto-fill bill details, amounts, and line items. The auto-coding agent helps fill accounting fields, such as GL category, location, and department, on the bill and line items.”

PartialSmart OCR "learns patterns from historical bills from that vendor" and auto-fills line items and coding. But it is AI inference on Ramp Plus. It does not directly copy prior line items or save vendor default splits, which they asked for.

Update for everyone here: as of December 9, 2025, line item auto-coding is available in Bill Pay for all Ramp Plus customers. Smart OCR learns from your past bills with a vendor to extract and fill in line items, and the auto-coding agent fills accounting fields like GL category, location, and department on each line. Details: https://support.ramp.com/hc/en-us/articles/47024360747027-AP-Agents-available-in-Ramp-Bill-Pay#h_01KBFXJCAH6GBC0JJVDF1B5MBN Still missing: there's no way to copy a previous bill's line items, and no saved multi-line default splits on the vendor profile. If this doesn't cover your monthly splits, tell us here.
