Let credit card bill payments skip the payment release step
“Can we please make invoices that are paid via credit card exempt from needing to be ‘released.’”
Faster payment release and payment runs

“Hey @Amanda_Bell , as Rebecca said there should be a setting for you to disable this so that card payments no longer require release. if you don’t see that setting, please let me know your business name and I can investigate it!”

Thanks for raising this. As of the August 13, 2026 release, card payments run through the payment release workflow instead of a separate card toggle. In Bill Pay approval settings, edit the Payment release workflow and add a Payment method condition for your card options. Then route that branch directly to Release payment, and those payments will release automatically after bill approval. Details: https://support.ramp.com/bill-pay-payment-release. Payments already awaiting release keep their existing chains. Let us know if this still doesn't cover your case.
